There's lots of interesting stuff in the release notes recently and you might find it is a good time to brush up on all the keys, protocols, and algorithms involved, a good run-down of the underlying deprecation conundrum, how SHA-1 is a shambles, the supporting logic for hash visualization as seen in VisualHostKey, and the awesome Bubble Babble encoding which is currently available with ssh-keygen
but not (yet?) for host verification.
